Christmas Cake 2008

I have been going through some old photos, and noticed ones I would want on my blog. I will slowly add them all on here and what they are all about.

This is a Christmas cake I made in 2008. I thought it came out yummy. I think that by the end of the night the top layer of the cake was slidding off.. CLASSIC!

Why this blog came about...

There are a lot of things that I like to do in this world, one of them is cooking. I have numerous cookbooks in my pantry, wishing for me to open them up. A lot of my recipes come from The Food Network and their amazing cooks. I tend to love the ones with lots of butter!

Whenever watching the movie "Julie and Julia", I loved the idea of a recipe blog. I was not too fond on half of the recipes she made or the cookbook she used, but the idea, I loved. While watching the movie my husband said, "You should do that". A few months after that movie, my sister in law, Megan, created a recipe blog, and I just loved it. *You can find a link to her blog below.*

So...here is my recipe blog to share with the world. If I see something sweet on TV that I want to cook up, I make it and try them out on the family. Some of them are instant hits (the ones I post on here) and some are misses. But each one is a lot of fun!

Here is "A Little Bit of Home" and all in between. I hope these recipes bring your tummy and family as much joy as it did to ours.

Some of these recipes come from great masterminds like Martha Stewart, Emeril, or many other Food Network chefs. Others are from the kitchens of friends and family. I have complied anything and everything your tummy desires!
